Technip Energies joins the French "New Energy Systems-Sector Strategic Committee"

Accelerating the energy transition

Scroll down for more

Technip Energies recently joined the French “New Energy Systems - Sector Strategic Committee”. The New Energy Systems association, created in 2018, works to give a greater industrial dimension to the energy transition in France by organizing itself around projects which bring together various stakeholders such as the French State, energy transition companies and other French stakeholders.

This membership illustrates Technip Energies' vision of accelerating the energy transition towards a low carbon society.

The work of New Energy Systems is organized around four themes involving Technip Energies ("renewable energies," "networks," "storage," "energy efficiency and decarbonization") each bringing together several working groups, supported and stimulated by six transversal dynamics. Technip Energies will play a leading role in the “offshore wind” and “CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage)” working groups as co-pilot.

Our experience in the fields of sustainable chemistry, carbon-free energy solutions and decarbonization allows us to actively participate in other working groups such as the “Decarbonization of industry,” “Hydrogen,” “Batteries” groups, “Electricity networks” and “Energy sector integration.” Our participation allows us to share our know-how and our expertise in these different fields.

Technip Energies is also involved in cross-functional working groups such as the “International,” “Europe,” “Research” and “Skills” groups to promote and anticipate tomorrow’s jobs linked to the energy transition.

Charles Cessot, Senior Vice President Strategy of Technip Energies, said: “We are proud to join “New Energy Systems” and to contribute to the future of the French energy sector. As an architect of energy solutions and technology integrator, Technip Energies is at the heart of deep transformations in the energy world that affect all players in the entire value chain: production, transport, distribution, storage and services. Our participation in “New Energy Systems” illustrates our desire to be an active player in the energy transition and the importance of collaboration between all the players in the energy sector."

Aurélie Picart, General Delegate of New Energy Systems said: “We are delighted to welcome Technip Energies to the “New Energy Systems.” Technip Energies immediately became actively involved, to develop the sector, in various working groups of our Sector Strategy Committee. We welcome this involvement."
